Move beyond your limits – exploring your personal development
In order to structure our daily lives in an efficient way, we all developed specific ways of moving through our lives. Many of our ways of behaving and moving through the world are highly routine: we hardly pay attention to them at all.
Our body suffers from those routines by getting worn down, since we end up using our muscles for the same, repetitive movements, taking the same postures, and losing our sense for our bodies’ natural and diverse impulses for movement.
In this way, we set limits on our potential for moving, behaving, and expressing ourselves.
Moving in these routine, automatic ways also means that we are paying less attention to the world around us, which blunts our perception and takes away some of the surprise in life:
To move efficiently and in routine ways through life has high costs.
Train new ways of being yourself
Through Stopping Movement Training, I offer you the chance to finding new ways of moving in an easy and joyful way. In a series of lessons, you can learn to break out of routine patterns of movement, and to discover new, individual ways of expressing yourself.
You will systematically train to let movements come from the body, instead of being guided only by your thoughts. This allows you to discover new, unexpected impulses for movement. You reconnect to your own, natural ways of expressing yourself.
We train in groups - you can experience new ways to move between and with other people.
Being able to express yourself in new and varied ways enables you to experience the world differently – with more freedom to experience yourself and others anew, and to let go of old, limiting roles. It means gaining more individuality and authenticity in your experience.
